With the desire to receive external contributions that provide reflection on the action carried out by Càritas Diocesana de Girona, in recent weeks the new space called Consell amb Cor (Council with Heart) has begun to operate.

It is made up of ten people who are leaders in various social and economic sectors: Anna Maria Geli, Antoni Puigvert, Imma Xifra, Marc Riera, Marià Lorca, Montserrat Roura, Miquel Gotanegra, Ramon Barnera, Toni Pons and myself.

The new body was approved on July 3, 2024, it is planned to meet at least twice a year, and is coordinated by Josep Maria Boada, a member of the Diocesan Council.

The president of Càritas Diocesana de Girona, Dolors Puigdevall, explains that “we are excited about the Consell amb Cor because we are convinced that the contribution of the people who are members will be very valuable and that based on their ideas and proposals we will be able to strengthen the relationship with society, administrations, companies and families”.

I am very happy to be able to contribute my little bit to an organization like Càritas that gives everything for the most disadvantaged!
